a burning man booze.
Last year in the summertime, I was at Phoenix's First Friday watching SolTribe's fire performances. Maurice was one of the performers. I was just started dabbling in spinning poi, without the fire. My former roommate, Robert, came to watch along with a few other friends.

While my roommate and I watched SolTribe set up for the show, I saw a guy walk by in a costume. He was wearing this cute outfit that makes him look like a cuddly lion. I suddenly remembered him from 100Daze in Tuscon during May 2005. It was so good to see the cool guy again.

Then I noticed he had a camelback water pack, and he offered me a sip. I asked him what it is. He gestured that it is not water but some kind of booze. Robert and I took a sip and was impressed with the cold drink. I had him write down the recipe:

4/8 coke
1/8 everclear
3/8 creme de cacao chocolate liquor

I didn't know what to call it, and since I know the guy in burning groups, so I ended up titling it: "a burning man booze."

If I ever make that drink, I'll be sure to post a review!
